What is Calico?

Calico is a unified crypto data feed that collects and standardizes authorized end users' digital assets data across exchanges, wallets, and DeFi platforms into a single, reliable feed. But we don’t stop at aggregation—we ensure the data is high-quality, real-time, and actionable for portfolio tracking or risk analysis.

How does it work?

Using a fictional app, Orbit Wealth, which uses Calico’s API to securely access digital asset data, and a fictional exchange, Block Exchange, we'll walk through an example scenario:

A customer of Orbit Wealth wants to see their Block Exchange crypto holdings in the Orbit Wealth application. To connect their data, the end-user is redirected from Orbit Wealth through Calico Connect to Block Exchange, where they sign in via OAuth2. After confirming their choices and giving explicit consent to share their account data, they are redirected back to Calico. Orbit Wealth can now securely retrieve the end-user’s financial data using Calico's APIs.
